Chechu Pajares was fortunate to be the artist invited by the organization of the festival, to show the sad state in which the beaches of the city are located.

"During the aforementioned beach clean up, we were joined by photographer Chechu Pajares, who has devoted a major part of his oeuvre to portraying ocean life both with and without a board under his feet. Though surely aesthetically pleasing, these selected photos will help our audiene to better understand how plastic plagues our oceans and will be accompanied by clear infographics for a better understanding of both the current situation and the small steps we can take as a society to remedy it".
